By on December 30, 2014

Free shuttle bus at East Falls Church Metro begins New Year’s Eve at 7 p.m. and goes to all venues every half hour. Lots of free parking.

The City of Falls Church will throw its 17th annual New Year’s Eve Watch Night party Wednesday night. That’s when the downtown will be loaded with stages, live music, a 66-foot dragon, lots of inflatable obstacle courses, bungee runs, a Velcro wall, food trucks, New Year’s novelties, free hot popcorn, karaoke, puppet shows, caricaturists, face painters, balloon artists and more.

Also on tap, loads of live entertainment: Live big band orchestra, rock ‘n roll, blues, and roots and other genres, represented at eight venues, all within an easy three-block walk or by taking the Watch Night shuttle. The event features activities inside and out, with fire pits and fireplaces provided by Sisler’s Stone for the warming areas.

The free Watch Night shuttle bus begins at the East Falls Church Metro at 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and goes directly into Falls Church and stops at each of the eight venues on the half-hour (one complete cycle to and from the Metro lasts about 30 minutes). The shuttle runs from 7 pm to 1 am. Several restaurants are in the 4 block area. The WN map of all
