STORY – Falls Church has a strong attachment to its long history beginning when the first European settled here in 1699 at Big Chimneys building a way station. The Historic Falls Church where George Washington and George Mason were two members of the vestry and the Declaration of Independence was read on the Church steps. See the Historic Falls Church where tours of the historic church are given by costumed docents and tours begin at 5 pm and end at 7 pm (tours are not scheduled often so this is a great opportunity to learn more about this very historically significant building).
MORE HISTORY – Cherry Hill Historic Farmhouse is open for Watch Night 2019 Shuttle Stop 3…The Victorian Society at Falls Church is sponsoring this event with 30 minute sets of Victorian period Christmas Carols and letting us know the history of the Carol and how the words changed over the years.. free refreshmenets served between sets. Programming begins at 8 pm and ends at 10 pm.
Balloons 2″ dia. 2 and 4′ long at balloon tent in front of the BB&T building where you can obtain balloons to make hats for the balloon hat contest at 11:00 pm. Be near the BALLOON TENT at that time for the judging.
